Not really feeling Sprints pricing of $250 for the new BlackBerry Bold 9930? Well, Walmart is always willing to cut you a break. As it stands right now, Walmart is taking pre-orders for the device at $199 for new customers and $219.99 for 2-year contract renewels. So either way, no matter which route you take -- you're saving money.

This is ridiculous. EVERY US carrier will have the Bold by Sept 1st EXCEPT AT&T. I've had it...I'm switching.

I think you can order online from Verizon right now. I read posts on this site that you can get them online. 199.00 too.

Got mine from VZW (retail store yesterday) for $199.00, plus they waived the $35.00 activation fee.

so it renews my contract? I just want an upgrade... not a different contract. Im confused. Im on a family plan, but it's my 2 year upgrade... so wtf do i choose?
To get any discount or price drop from the original price, aka upgrade price, you have to renew your contract for another 2 years. This only renews the line you are doing not all the lines
If you do not buy the phone outright, yes, you will 'renew' your contract for another term (2 or 3 yrs) whatever your contract is. This is how the carrier offers the phone at a discounted price up front, but you will be stuck with them for another term...
I personally can't wait to get my hand on one to check it out! Not ready to spend $250 and extend contract yet.

Walmart is always cheaper you should have waited and looked around. Buying first always bites you in the ass especially when you can save some money from 3rd party retailers.
i don't know how u americans do it but here in the UK i got the bold 9900 on vodafone uk for £26 monthly and i only paid £50 for the phone from a third party seller http://www.mobilephonesdirect.co.uk/Brands/Blackberry/b518/n443/p113557....
What is interesting is that when you go thru the check out, Walmart does not add the $10 data fee. So technically your getting a good deal if you go thru Walmart directly.
I ordered the 9930 this afternoon. I can hardly wait to get my hands on it. Gonna be a step up from the 9650.
